Oracle APEX Developer
100% Onsite in Washington DC 20036. U.S. Citizen required; must pass a federal background investigation (3‑8 weeks) for a DOJ Public Trust Clearance. 6–18 month contract with possible permanent placement. Pay $89.45/hr + W2 ONLY.
About the Role Support the rewrite of an HR application for a DOJ customer. 5 days a week onsite near the White House.
Self‑starter, limited supervision, excellent communication.
Focus on quick, effective delivery.
Experience Requirements
Prefer 12–15 years of Oracle APEX experience.
Master’s degree: 10–13 years acceptable.
Additional Preferred Experience
Migration from Legacy Oracle Forms to Oracle APEX.
HR systems experience.
Experience within the Department of Justice.
Primary Responsibilities
Full lifecycle development of custom Oracle Applications using Oracle APEX.
Advanced use of Oracle APEX 21+.
Work with Quest Toad and Oracle SQL Developer.
Design and manipulate web content dynamically using JQuery, Ajax, JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
Create dynamic reports in Oracle APEX.
Support Oracle Database objects: tables, indexes, directories, sequences, triggers.
Support PL/SQL, Java, Windows PowerShell, Unix shell scripting.
Handle unstructured data (BLOBs, CLOBs, JSON, XMLType).
Integrate and manage BI Publisher templates and web services.
Analyze Oracle Forms applications and design migration strategies to web applications using Oracle APEX.
Develop APIs and connections to external applications.
Deliver enterprise‑level workflow‑centric applications.
Build logical functions and algorithms to automate business processes.
Basic Qualifications
BS degree with 12–15 years experience or Master’s with 10–13 years; Doctorate acceptable; experience may replace degree.
U.S. Citizen.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
Experience with secure network programming in an Oracle environment; use of security certificates, HTTPS callouts.
Full lifecycle development of custom Oracle Applications, including Oracle APEX.
Use of Quest Toad and Oracle SQL Developer.

PL/SQL, Java, Windows PowerShell, Unix shell scripting (built‑in PLSQL packages and procedures).

Data migration tools and techniques.
Write and maintain system documentation on work products.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Agile development experience.
Customer interface experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Oracle Forms and Reports version 10G or higher.
Oracle APEX 4.0 and above.
Troubleshooting operational issues.
Government contracting experience, especially with the DOJ.
Current DOJ Clearance.
