Job Overview Moore County NC Landscape Design is seeking a skilled and motivated Landscape/Hardscape Foreman to lead the execution of custom outdoor living environments in Pinehurst, NC and surrounding areas. This full-time position offers the opportunity to oversee $100k+ residential and commercial design-build projects that feature pavers, masonry, lighting, drainage, grading, and more.
Ideal candidates are hands-on leaders who can run a crew efficiently, ensure construction quality, and communicate clearly with project managers and clients. Responsibilities
Lead Daily Operations – Assign tasks, stage materials, set crew/equipment plans, and oversee production timelines.
Build to Spec – Install pavers, walls, veneer, steps, drainage, lighting, and planting to industry and company standards.
Enforce Quality & Safety – Conduct daily inspections, prevent punch list items, run toolbox talks, and enforce PPE usage.
Coordinate & Report – Liaise with Project Managers, meet inspectors/subs, and communicate job needs clearly.
Train Crews – Mentor skilled laborers and equipment operators in quality craftsmanship and site professionalism.
Track Progress – Record daily hours, production quantities, deliveries, issues, and as-builts via company systems.
Qualifications 5+ years of experience in landscape or hardscape construction; 2+ years of crew leadership required.
Strong knowledge of paver and wall installations, base prep, compaction, and drainage systems.
Proficient with compact equipment (skid steer, mini-excavators) and layout using string lines, laser levels, and site plans.
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license (NC license required within 30 days of hire).
Physically fit – able to lift 50+ lbs and work long hours outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications ICPI or NCMA certifications in hardscaping.
Grading and drainage layout experience.
Light masonry/carpentry (e.g., seat walls, kitchens, pergolas).
Experience on $100k+ residential design-build projects.
CDL-A/B or trailer towing capability (not required but helpful).
Compensation & Benefits Compensation: $28–$32+ per hour DOE + overtime + performance bonuses.
