Mission of Role: To ensure seamless, compliant, and cost-effective execution of international trade and order fulfilment operations for India Market. This role drives operational excellence across import/export logistics, regulatory compliance, warehouse coordination, and stakeholder engagement, supporting business growth while navigating India's complex excise and trade landscape.
Role Responsibilities Transportation Service management:
Ensure timely shipments from all plants, Depots and Corporations by arranging the appropriate truck models
Ensure Safe and timely deliveries of CFG at customer end with all documentations and in route compliance to support OTIF targets
Ensuring end-end process adherence of use of Transport management System by internal and external users.
Ensure timely payment of transporters for seamless services and evade the risk of legalities in case of MSME Transporters
Prepare & publish KPI and performance reports and dashboards to share the health of logistics operations and action plans.
Defining SLA and monitoring transporter performance at various parameters through analytics
People & Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders (Plant/Planning/Commercial/Sales/Distributor/ Finance/Sourcing/RTM/ Legal)
Build strong relationships internally with OU & external trade partners
Facilitate necessary inputs to the concerned function such as Freight, Storage Charges for CTS/COGS working against budget & Strat Plan.
Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and clearing agents.
Conducting skill gap analysis and identify training needs
Training and development of his team.
Import & Export Operations
Manage import of Bulk Concentrate, Case Finished Goods and Export of Case Finished Goods.
Prepare & ensure all customs and excise documentation is in place
BIO Order Fulfilment & Customs Bonded Warehousing
Oversee BIO (Bottle in Origin) customer orders from receipt to delivery in compliance with customs, FSSAI & excise regulations
Work with Customs Bonded Warehouses to maintain the right BIO stock levels.
Ensure timely and efficient deliveries to meet internal SLA.
Manage depot contracts and plan for capacity needs.
Regulatory Compliance for Company owned warehouses
Sourcing of warehouse and preparation of agreements with the vendors
Ensure all valid licenses and permissions are up to date.
Stay compliant with excise, GST, local regulatory bodies, including fire NOC and FSSAI regulations.
Ensure all the applicable records for audits & inspections are updated & ready.
Facilitating commercial in dealing with regulatory concerns w.r.t shipments/stocks by collaborating Legal, controlling and compliance.
Cost & Process Optimization
Monitor and optimize costs related to logistics and warehousing.
Improve process efficiency by adopting best practices.
Contract management with all the Primary & secondary transporters by negotiating cost and services.
Driving Enterprise Productivity projects to achieve annual EP targets
Identify and manage risks in the supply chain.
Use duty-saving schemes to reduce costs.
Explore & apply automation and technology for cost and operation efficiency
Maintenance of warehouses - Capex budgeting, Project Management
Managing Annual Logistics spend and driving efficiency
Monitoring & Tracking Bulk tanks Custom Demurrage and detention on monthly basis against the annual budget and Flag off the risk
Support for New Products
Provide compliance guidance for new product launches and packaging changes.
Ensure all innovations meet regulatory standards & timelines
Reporting & Analytics
Track key performance metrics like delivery times and logistics costs.
Use data to improve planning and decision-making.
Share regular updates with leadership
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, or related field; MBA preferred
Experience: 10-12 years in supply chain or similar roles, preferably in alcobev industry
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Indian excise laws, customs procedures, FTP, GST, and FSSAI; ERP, TMS and supply chain software proficiency
Soft Skills: Leadership, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration
Industry Exposure: Experience working with regulated products, international suppliers, and government authorities
Exposure to handling audits and adhering to key logistics policies
