CyberTrust Massachusetts
Outreach and Business Development Lead
CyberTrust Massachusetts, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States
About CyberTrust Massachusetts
CyberTrust Massachusetts is a nonprofit (501c3) that delivers cybersecurity services to municipalities, nonprofits and small businesses, while providing intensive training for the next generation of cyber workers. We have an exceptional offering of essential services, offered at very competitive prices. As a nonprofit, we don’t conduct the marketing and sales operations that commercial service providers in these markets do, and until now our management team has conducted all customer engagements. But as CyberTrust grows its Security Operations Center (SOC) customer base, we are adding a new position to our team to manage these relationships. Outreach and Business Development Lead
This Hybrid role requires frequent in-person meetings in Massachusetts, and therefore candidate must be located in Massachusetts or nearby. Key Responsibilities
Business Development and Relationship Management
Identify and pursue opportunities to engage new customers and partners, focusing on local government, nonprofit, and small business sectors. Serve as the primary point of contact for current customers and partners. Develop customized proposals, presentations, and service agreements. Develop strategies to increase awareness and uptake of our cybersecurity services. Maintain a system to track interactions, opportunities, and outreach progress. Represent the organization at industry events and community forums to promote offerings and build networks. Conduct market research and analysis to support strategic growth. Partnership Development
Cultivate long-term relationships with key decision-makers and mission-aligned collaborators. Develop strategic alliances that enhance impact and service delivery. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding and high-quality support. Organizational Alignment and Mission Advancement
Align outreach activities with organizational priorities and capacity in collaboration with leadership. Coordinate with marketing on messaging, campaigns, and informational materials. Provide regular updates on engagement activities, performance metrics, and impact. Promote cybersecurity awareness and accessibility for under-resourced communities. Support fundraising, grant applications, and community outreach as needed. Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in business development, outreach, partnerships, or client engagement—preferably in cybersecurity, technology, or the nonprofit sector. 4-8+ years of direct phone or in-person selling or fundraising. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility across diverse communities. Mission-driven, adaptable, and self-motivated with a collaborative working style. Familiarity with the cybersecurity needs of small organizations is a plus. Salary $120-160k, depending on experience and capabilities.
