Position Summary The Superintendent at Bulley & Andrews is responsible for day‑to‑day operations, safety, and performance of the company’s projects. This position requires a demonstrated track‑record of prioritizing quality and safety while maintaining production goals. The Superintendent should possess excellent communication and time‑management skills and should have an extensive knowledge of construction management and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Maintains an advanced level of computers skills

Utilize advanced computer skills and construction technology, including:

BIM model navigation for coordination and conflict resolution

Collaboration platforms (e.g.,

Bluebeam

and

Procore ) for punch lists and communication

Can assist in the creation of the project master schedule and manage onsite

Create and maintain Daily Reports and other necessary logs for progress reporting

Able to review contract documents and recognize quality discrepancies and notify project management, while creating cost‑effective suggestions to correct the issue

Can coordinate with the Project Manager on‑the‑spot on how to proceed when an issue arises, so as not to affect continued flow of work

Able to coordinate/prepare a site logistic plan and present to the Client with the Project Manager

Can create short‑term (3‑week) look‑ahead schedules

Can identify safety issues onsite and direct field forces on how to correct issue

Can perform a safety audit on your own project

Can project manpower needs and request proper manpower from upper management

Can properly manage electronic weekly payroll input, confirming proper cost codes are being utilized

Able to review contract documents and recognize quality discrepancies and notify project management

Ensures that jobsite record/as‑built drawings are maintained and updated regularly

Can hold subcontractor meetings and create/distribute minutes to reflect what was discussed for record

Can review issues with design team, and advise Project Manager for proper documentation of any changes made

Can review approved submittals and execute installation of proper materials

Manage quality assurance/control in the field

Reviews scopes created by Project Manager to ensure proper work is being installed by a subcontractor

Has understanding of individual building trade’s collective bargaining agreements

Able to maintain a high level of client satisfaction with all aspects of the project to encourage repeat work

Requirements

5+ years of experience in a Superintendent role

Proven track record of quality construction, performance, and safety

Excellent knowledge of construction management, safety protocols, and industry best practices

Superior communication, organization and negotiation skills

A valid driver’s license and valid insurance
