Your role: The HIV Area Business Manager (ABM) is part of the US Endocrinology Therapeutic Area and is responsible for promoting Serostim®, a product indicated for treating HIV patients with wasting or cachexia to increase lean body mass, body weight, and improve physical endurance. This full‑time position manages sales and territory‑related business requirements for healthcare providers, large HIV clinics, and academic centers. The ABM implements brand strategies through strategic account plans and customer engagements to help increase awareness of HIVAW, diagnosis and treatment with Serostim for appropriate patients. The ABM acts as the main contact between customers and EMD Serono, Inc., collaborating with teams in Marketing, Market Access, Patient Support, and Medical. This role involves forming customer relationships, developing product market presence, meeting sales objectives, identifying customer needs, and facilitating professional interactions between customers and EMD Serono.
Territory boundaries include Chicago (Illinois), Missouri, Indiana and Wisconsin. The position requires travel up to 50 % and a valid, active driver’s license.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
Five or more years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector with evidence of successful outcomes
A valid and active driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in HIV, Endocrinology, Rare Disease, or Specialty Biologics markets
Compassion for and awareness of issues impacting patients living with HIV/AIDS
Record of achieving sales objectives
Proficiency in sales engagement and strategic plan implementation
Knowledge of scientific and clinical business practices
Ability to understand, process, and communicate information about products, diseases, and marketplaces
Background in payor and market access systems
Analytical skills for integrating market insights into strategic plans
Time management and administrative abilities
