Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
to conduct disability assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. The role focuses on in‑person physical exams, electronic medical record review, and documentation for VA forms. This position does not involve prescribing medication or providing treatment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct in‑person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans.
Review and analyze electronic medical records via a secure web portal.
Accurately document exam findings and complete the required VA forms.
Provide medical opinions based on assessment findings.
Position Details
Schedule: Full‑time, Monday‑Friday (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
Location: Hauppauge, NY (in‑person).
Caseload: 3–5 Veterans per day.
Equipment: Computer and all necessary tools for documentation.

Strong analytical skills for reviewing medical records and assessment data.

Requirements
Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
Comfortable using technology to review records and complete documentation.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary: $105,000–$115,000 per year (commensurate with experience).

Malpractice insurance covered by MRG.
Training and ongoing support.
