Description The Foot Care Center is the region’s largest and fastest growing podiatric practice. We proudly serve the Billings, Montana, and Sheridan, Wyoming communities with two offices in Billings and one in Sheridan. Founded in 1987, the practice has grown into a busy office of four podiatrists and we have an immediate need for two additional podiatrists to support current volume, with plans for continued growth and expansion. The Foot Care Center is a proud partner of Balance Health, the largest majority podiatrist‑owned practice in the country and the nation’s premier comprehensive lower‑extremity focused physician practice.
We are looking for an Associate Surgical Podiatrist in either Billings or Sheridan. The ideal candidate will be hard‑working, comfortable performing surgery as well as routine care, and will maintain a phenomenal bedside manner, treating patients with exceptional care.
Essential Functions
Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases
Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
Perform surgical procedures as necessary along with wound care management as needed
Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x‑rays, and laboratory test results
Prescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
Maintain medical records on assigned patients

CAM‑based in‑office orthotic lab

Amniotic treatments for ulcers and musculoskeletal problems

Compensation / Benefits
Competitive physician salary program with a base ($150,000 – $175,000) + compensation plan (level depends on applicable experience)
Benefit eligibility for full‑time employees working 30+ hours weekly begins first of the month following 30 days of employment
Eligibility to participate in our 401(k) program begins first of the month following 60 days of employment
Monthly education webinars
Annual in‑person “Balance Summit” - our two‑day CME event
Requirements
Minimum of three (3) years professional experience preferred
Current license as a podiatrist in the State of Montana or Wyoming
Doctoral degree in podiatric medicine from an accredited school of podiatry
Board certification through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery
Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities
Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with diverse patient, colleague, and vendor populations
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and EMR database
Ability to provide legal proof of eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Ability to successfully pass an in‑depth background investigation
Salary $150,000 – $500,000 (base $150,000 – $175,000 + compensation plan)
