DB2 Engineer (Need Local to DC only)

Job Summary: Mainframe DB2 Systems Programmer 16 Years of experience managing and maintaining mainframe platforms and its Operating System (z/OS) and Supporting Program Products (such as SMPE, DB2, CICS)
Responsibilities:
Current experience with installing, upgrading and applying maintenances/PTFS for DB2 using SMPE or z/OSMF (if they meet this requirement, they must feel comfortable to navigate within a LPAR using TSO, ISPF, IBM utilities etc.)
Current experience installing and customizing BMC DB2 Utilities and BMC Mainview
Current experience working with Application DBAs to solve performance problems
Hands on experiences with installing DB2 V13 with z/OSMF is a plus
Familiarity with CICS V5.6 or later is a plus
Position will be responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of standards, naming conventions, and ongoing deployment of a multi-data center DB2 environment, including disaster recovery, high availability, and data center relocation projects. Must have extensive experience with the installation, support, and roll-out of DB2 components, BMC Tools and Utilities, and related products. Must have complete familiarity with z/OS, TSO/ISPF, and IBM utilities. Experience with SMP/E, Sysplex environments, and DB2 integration with WLM is desired. The position will provide technical support to the application and data center staff. Additional desired skills are Oracle, SQL, z/VM, Linux, and MVS systems; familiarity with the BMC MainView monitoring tool is desired.
Must have excellent communication and presentation skills. Position will require project leadership in support of data center projects and strategic initiatives.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
Training or certification in a particular product or IT platform/service, as required
