Director, Information Systems & Data Operations Girl Scouts of Western Ohio

is seeking a dedicated Director, Information Systems & Data Operations to join our team. The Director will oversee and manage the technology infrastructure, data management operations, assessment & evaluation, and analytics for the organization. The role manages the IT service provider, coordinates and supervises service delivery, and leads data security initiatives. This senior leader will guide future information systems initiatives, including AI solutions and advanced analytics tools, and support strategic decision‑making across the council.

Base pay range : $80,000 – $90,000 annually.

Location : Cincinnati or Dayton.

Essential Responsibilities

Technology Leadership: Provide overall leadership of the organization’s technology infrastructure, software solutions, data security, reporting, and data analytics.

AI Leadership: Lead the strategic deployment and management of AI technologies that align with the organization’s goals; oversee AI integration, including data processing, reporting, and analytics capabilities.

Data Management & Analytics: Manage the organization’s data resources, ensuring quality, security, and compliance. Lead reporting and data analysis efforts to provide actionable insights for decision‑making, reporting, and strategy.

Transaction Processing: Oversee the organization’s operational transaction systems, ensuring accurate, efficient, and secure processing.

Software Management: Oversee deployment, licensing, and management of software applications across the organization. Manage software credentialing and ensure compliance with licenses.

Team Supervision: Supervise a team of staff responsible for transaction processing, data management, reporting, and analytics. Provide coaching, mentorship, performance management, and accountability.

Managed Service Provider Relationship: Act as the primary point of contact for the MSP, 4BIS, managing the service level agreement (SLA) and ensuring the organization’s IT infrastructure is secure, functional, and scalable.

Compliance & Security: Establish data security policies and procedures. Ensure that all IT systems, organizational procedures, data handling, and AI systems comply with applicable data security standards and regulations, including nonprofit‑specific compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

At least 5 years of experience in IT, data management, or a related field, including at least 2 years of people‑leadership/supervisory experience providing direct supervision to staff.

Certification in Data Management or Information Systems is highly preferred (e.g., CISSP, CDMP).

Demonstrated experience managing full data and information ecosystems, including technology implementations, preferably in a nonprofit or similarly resource‑limited environment.

Strong proficiency in evaluation and data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Qualtrics, or similar).

Experience working with an MSP to manage outsourced IT functions.

Knowledge of software credentialing and management.

Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations or other compliance standards.

Ability to complete assignments independently, professionally, and in a timely manner.

Supervisory Responsibility This position has direct supervisory responsibility for staff and will lead a team as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Position Type & Expected Hours of Work Full‑time. Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Eligible for teleworking.

Travel Travel primarily within the council’s geographic footprint (32 counties of western Ohio and southeastern Indiana), with occasional out‑of‑area and overnight travel.

Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary range of $80,000–$90,000 annually with a generous benefits package. Hybrid work option: minimum 3 days onsite, up to 2 days remote after 90‑day training.
