NS2 Mission is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect located in Reston, VA to join the team! You will be a trusted force behind the design and delivery of global, mission-driven infrastructure and software solutions that enable influence operations at scale. We are seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to design, guide, and evolve secure, resilient cloud platforms and applications.
In this role, you will combine hands‑on technical expertise with architectural leadership, shaping cloud‑native solutions from concept through production while mentoring teams and influencing platform strategy.
Basic Qualifications
Experience architecting and designing cloud‑based solutions using modern best practices
Strong background in software engineering and full‑stack application development
Proficiency in at least one modern object‑oriented language (e.g., Java, Go, C#)
Experience with modern front‑end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue)
Hands‑on experience designing and operating solutions in AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience architecting or operating containerized platforms using Kubernetes
Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code and orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm)
Strong understanding of Linux systems administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, Rocky)
Working knowledge of networking, security concepts, and VPN technologies
Experience designing for security, scalability, reliability, and compliance
Ability to communicate architecture decisions and technical tradeoffs to stakeholders at all levels
Experience supporting production environments and guiding operational teams
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced development experience with Java and/or Go
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern front‑end architectures
Deep cloud expertise with services such as EC2, S3, EKS, EFS, Route 53, and Load Balancers (or equivalents)
Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD preferred)
Experience with VMware or hybrid cloud architectures
Experience with system administration and platform operations at scale
Experience scripting and automating workflows using Bash, Python, or PowerShell
Industry certifications in Cloud Architecture, Linux, or Systems Administration
Experience designing backup, disaster recovery, and high‑availability solutions
Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical leadership across teams
Position Clearance Requirement TS/SCI with an FSP
