Successful candidates must be self‑starters and entrepreneurs who are committed to delivering superior energy advice to companies that face a variety of complex energy challenges, including volatile market prices, reliability, and the need to meet aggressive carbon‑reduction targets.

Responsibilities

Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and cultivate potential clients through proactive outreach, cold calling, and networking opportunities.

Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and renewals.

Client Consultations: Meet with clients to understand their energy needs, risk tolerance, and identify how 5 can best serve them.

Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.

Sales Presentations: Compose and deliver compelling sales presentations, effectively communicating benefits of energy products and services to potential clients.

Negotiation and Closing: Address client concerns and objections to close sales and achieve revenue targets.

Collaboration with Teams: Work with internal teams (e.g., operations, management) to ensure a seamless customer experience and align sales strategies with business goals.

CRM Management: Use HubSpot to track leads, manage accounts, and optimize the sales process for efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

3+ years’ experience in the energy industry (retail gas and/or electricity, sustainability, solar, demand response, etc.) or a transferable industry.

3+ years of B2B outside sales experience.

Proven ability to identify new business opportunities through prospecting and networking.

High autonomy with a resilient, team‑oriented approach to sales.

Collaborative mindset with independent initiative.

Ambition, passion, teamwork, and grit.

BA/BS degree preferred.
