Responsibilities
Market Leadership:
Lead the sales strategy and channel expansion of C&I energy storage products (including 60kWh cabinets, 261kWh all-in-one systems, and 1.67MWh containerized solutions) across the North American market, with a focus on scaling market share.
Strategic Partnerships:
Develop and execute sales strategies for designated regions (e.g., US West, US East, or Pan-US) or client segments (e.g., IPP, Data Centers, EPC, integrators) based on market trends and competitive landscape to drive business growth. Set and achieve annual sales targets, including booking, revenue, and gross margin goals.
Key Account Management and Expansion:
Directly manage 3-5 key large accounts, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships. Increase market share by penetrating the top 20 key customers and driving sales opportunities.
Sales Leadership:
Directly manage contract negotiations, track payment collection, and ensure the seamless execution of project milestones within specified timelines.
Team Management and Performance Monitoring:
Build and lead a sales team of 3-4 members, ensuring effective collaboration and high performance. Monitor team performance regularly, set individual and team goals, optimize team structure, and improve overall sales output.
Brand Leadership:
Collaborate closely with marketing teams to elevate the brand’s visibility at industry events such as trade shows, seminars, and customer training programs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work in partnership with product development, R&D, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and successful project implementation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Energy, Marketing, or related fields.
At least 8-12 years of experience in sales and business development within C&I energy storage or renewable energy sectors, with a proven track record managing multi-million-dollar projects.
Deep understanding of the North American energy storage market, with established networks in EPCs, utilities, and distributors.
Exceptional negotiation skills, project management expertise, and ability to navigate cross-cultural communication.
Fluent in English (Spanish proficiency is a plus).
Strong data-driven approach to sales, with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive under pressure. Frequent travel required.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous leadership experience with a prominent energy storage manufacturer, EPC company or Utility.
Knowledge of government incentive programs (e.g., U.S. IRA, SGIP) and grid interconnection standards.
Experience in Virtual Power Plant (VPP) operations or smart energy management technologies.
