Gift Card Business Lead This level role manages all aspects of Expedia Group’s gift card portfolio by performing a general manager role. We’re looking for a manager to oversee today’s Hotels.com gift card program with a focus on driving expansion while ensuring exceptional customer experience. This role will also assess options to expand the program to other brands and to drive growth through partners. This role sits within the Traveler Engagement and Loyalty (TEaL) team and is an individual contributor with both vendor and cross functional resources.
What you’ll do:
As an individual contributor, this role holistically owns the gift card program by managing day-to-day operations while driving program growth and expansion
Manage existing partnerships (distribution, B2B, card processor, etc) and potentially onboard new partnerships that’ll strengthen and grow the program
Assist in shaping the gift card business strategy to align with the broader Expedia Group strategy
Work cross-functionally with key partners such as Finance, Legal, Brand, and Creative
Work with the Analytics team to optimize partner and promotional efficiency and drive incremental growth
Build and maintain internal and external promotional calendar and work with partners to secure marketing placements during key timeframes
Benchmark activity against competitors and best-in-class retailers. Continue to innovate and evolve our campaigns to maintain competitiveness
Travel up to 10% of the time to attend industry conferences and meet with partners
Who you are:
BA/BS degree in business, marketing, or similar field
5+ years of combined experience in partnership management and marketing required
You think and operate like a general manager, which means you have a well-rounded set of business skills and consider the holistic customer and business impacts
You’re a strong relationship builder and influential communicator
Experience in gift cards, travel, e-commerce, retail or merchandising functions a plus
Experience in contract negotiations a plus
Strong belief in delivering exceptional customer experiences
Strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to prioritize and deliver results
The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $110,500.00 to $155,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.The total cash range for this position in Austin is $110,500.00 to $155,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
