Join Bon Appetit Management Company—dedicated to Achieving Leadership in the Foodservice Industry—as a Catering Operations Manager. We seek an operationally savvy professional with an Ownership Mentality who takes initiative, solves problems independently, and coordinates successful on and off‑premise events. Key Responsibilities
Operations & Logistics: Orchestrate the execution of events including delivery, set‑up, and clean‑up. Manage vendor contracts, rental equipment, and vehicle inventory. Pivot without losing momentum to accommodate last‑minute orders and changing demands efficiently. Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, and schedule the catering team. Manage payroll and provide constant feedback to ensure staff adhere to uniform and service standards. Financial Management: Maintain accurate records including P&L, labor, and sales forecasting. Manage Accounts Receivable to keep invoices current (under 30 days) and produce weekly variance reports. Culinary Collaboration: Consult with clients and Chefs to plan menus that meet budget, sustainability commitments, and quality standards regarding portioning and presentation. Sales & Client Relations: Act as the primary liaison for clients, managing Open Houses and seasonal tastings to drive revenue. Resolve customer concerns within 24 hours. Safety & Compliance: Enforce HACCP standards, temperature recording, and safety training. Ensure all staff utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Qualifications
Experience: 3-5 years of hospitality management experience preferred (minimum 2 years required), specifically in off‑premise catering and budgeting. Competencies: Must be an Adaptable & Fast Learner comfortable with high‑volume environments. Requires Strong Communication & Team Fit to effectively collaborate with diverse clients, vendors, and senior management. Technical Skills: Proficient in web‑based ordering systems, word processing, and spreadsheets. Clearance: Must obtain and maintain property access requirements (rigorous site background/fingerprint process). Language: Bilingual is preferred but not required. Benefits
