Position Summary We have an opportunity for a Director, New Client Partnerships in our Medical Communications business line. As an individual sales contributor, you will work collaboratively to grow our Medical Communications portfolio of solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage industry relationships to drive new business, map targeted accounts, and think strategically to maximize revenue across Amplity solutions and business units.
The Director will identify and cultivate new accounts, secure opportunities within current client accounts, and develop new clients, creating innovative proposals based on client needs. You will also leverage existing engaged communities to grow the Med Comm pipeline.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain a high‑quality pipeline of opportunities in a complex sales environment.
Secure qualified client meetings through cold calling, emails, social media, and networks.
Maintain deep understanding of Amplity Med Comm core capabilities, Medical Journals, and Publishing; oncology experience is a plus.
Collaborate closely with internal team members to drive the Med Comm and Learn business.
Create strategies to drive business toward Agency of Record status.
Work across several client verticals to ensure coverage across key accounts and brands.
Collaborate with business leaders, account management, and subject‑matter experts.
Deliver sales messages aligned to Amplity Med Comm offerings.
Track KPIs to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Provide timely status reports to senior leadership.
Discuss innovative approaches to new industry challenges.
Attend key identified conferences.
Requirements / Education / Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or relevant sales/account management experience.
Demonstrable success in client account management, meeting or exceeding quota.
Pharmaceutical industry or relevant healthcare knowledge.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business development and/or account management; 5+ years a plus.
Experience responding to RFPs or RFIs preferred.
Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience with publications and non‑personal promotion (NPP) preferred.
Experience with Salesforce a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Zoom, Teams.
Solution‑driven and collaborative.
Outstanding listening skills and ability to present workable solutions.
Ability to travel to conferences and client meetings.
Medical publications experience preferred.
Credentialing Requirements As a representative of a pharmaceutical company, you may be required to submit and maintain credentials, such as training, vaccinations, and other documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers. Certain jurisdictions may require a representative license; be notified of changes as they occur.
