What We Do This is a development position designed to prepare an individual possessing attributes supporting a sales dynamic to advance into a Sales Representative position. The primary function of this position is to gain industry, product and service knowledge while learning the various skills needed to be promoted to a Sales Representative. The Sales Trainee must understand how to use interpersonal skills to build long-term internal and external relationships. Upon completing the training period, this individual may be responsible for sales and margin performance within a defined territory.

What You'll Do:

Learn and master the sales process and understand the products and services offered.

Learn sales administration by participating in sales office functions

Build and maintain relationships with potential clients

Conduct market research and develop sales strategies; gather and analyze information to build knowledge base and identify trends for assigned territory/product

Observe the sales process by calling on accounts; adhere to established sales steps

Update job knowledge by participating in educational improvement opportunities; read sales and marketing publications

Prepare and deliver product presentations

Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:

High School diploma or equivalent

Experience in sales or customer service

Requires a valid driver’s license

Excellent communication and listening skills

Presentation skills

Ability to influence and persuade others

Enthusiastic, optimistic, persistent and resilient personality; able to handle rejection

Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills

Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Ability to negotiate conflict

Creative problem-solving skills

Solid work ethic, self-starter and high energy level

Pay Range: $24.87 - $33.15 Hourly

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
