We are looking for a Senior Director, Operations to lead the global Operations team and deliver world‑class service to consumers and merchants.
Responsibilities
Define the strategic roadmap, set expectations for product servicing, and align them with the organization’s Objectives & Key Results.
Enable accurate performance monitoring of operations with alerting and rapid remediation when performance deviates from goals.
Drive business growth by enabling tools and services that strengthen consumer and merchant servicing.
Provide oversight and continuously optimize operational outcomes to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders — Engineering, Analytics, Product, Finance, Legal, and Compliance — to embed operational goals into product strategy, roadmaps, and budgeting.
Build and develop a high‑performing team: define talent needs, build a diverse team, and retain top talent by empowering decision‑making and fostering a culture of experimentation and collaboration.
Systematically manage all aspects of servicing and fraud operations for consumers and merchants.
Qualifications
15+ years of experience in customer and merchant servicing, fraud operations, and strategic workforce management in complex B2B2C environments.
Proven ability to engage executives, board members, and regulators.
Track record of developing and executing comprehensive operational strategy.
Experience leading a team of 100+ operational professionals, scaling and building high‑performance teams.
Strong data‑driven, analytical mindset with strategic thinking to drive performance.
Results‑oriented, forward‑thinking leader who thrives in fast‑paced, innovative environments.
Experience in high‑growth, technology‑driven companies—financial services or regulated industries preferred.
Alignment with Affirm’s mission to build honest consumer products and culture.
Compensation & Benefits Pay Grade: U Equity Grade: 15 Affirm focuses on a transparent pay structure based on location, experience, and job‑related skills.
Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents).
USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $285,000 – $355,000 USA base pay range (all other states) per year: $253,000 – $323,000
Affirm is a remote‑first company. Roles are typically remote; occasional office work may be required based on job responsibilities.
