Regional Medical Officer - Carelon (Palliative Care)
Elevance Health is looking for a Regional Medical Officer ( Palliative Care ) to provide internal medicine services, clinical oversight, and staff management across multiple sites.
Base Pay Range $239,988.00 - $411,408.00 per year.
Location District of Columbia (Washington, DC); Maryland; Massachusetts; New Jersey; and New York.
How You Make An Impact
Assists market leadership in developing and executing comprehensive and coordinated clinical programs, improving clinical excellence and quality.
Provides patient care in one or more areas as physician on a daily basis.
Collaborates with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities (where required) and care management teams and reviews patients with case managers.
Develops and improves training practices and materials.
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Minimum Requirements
MD or DO with residency in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Pediatrics.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing physician in hospital medicine, primary care, or specialty medicine.
Current unrestricted medical licensure in applicable state(s) and board eligibility or board certification.
DEA license required.
Completion of a Tuberculosis test for Carelon Health business units.
Preferred Qualifications
Palliative care fellowship, board certification, or experience is strongly preferred.
Physician leadership experience is preferred.
