Position Summary This position is responsible for providing project management, direction and leadership to the Transmission area as it relates to Regulatory Compliance. This will include providing compliance guidance with NERC regulatory guidelines, integration of overall business processes with the Customer and Field Operations compliance program, and coordination with the corporate compliance officer.
Essential Responsibilities
Direction of the Overall Transmission Compliance Plan, encompassing all federal, state, and applicable regulatory bodies (e.g., NERC, WECC, MISO, SPP, MRO, etc.) and contractual compliance filing and data responsibilities for Transmission. This will involve project direction to establish and implement the plan across the organization.
Direction of the Transmission Service policy process across the organization, covering Transmission‑to‑Transmission Interconnections, Generation Interconnections, Load Service Policy, and related areas. This effort will involve project direction to establish and implement the policy process across the organization.
Direction of the NERC reliability standards program and coordination of the overall audit process for regulators for Transmission. This will entail project direction to establish and implement the updated NERC policies process across the organization.
Technical guidance and coordination for the overall integration with various RTOs as it relates to Transmission Business policy.
Key liaison with the Compliance Governance process for the Transmission business area, relating to overall company compliance standard implementation (e.g., Sarbanes‑Oxley).
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Business Administration, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
Minimum of 5 years of NERC compliance or utility operations experience.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of current and proposed NERC requirements and regulations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated large project management skills.
Preferred Requirements
Experience in performing or facilitating investigation and cause analysis.
Experience working with RSA Archer, ProjectWise, and SharePoint.
Experience in transmission planning and modeling, transmission operations, generator operations, and systems protection.

Non-Bargaining
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $109,500.00 to $155,500.00 per year.
