Base pay range $24.00/hr - $27.00/hr

Role Overview As the ToGo Department Manager, you will be overseeing our in-store kitchen operations. Our ToGo Managers are responsible for the daily operations of the department in addition but not limited to inventory control, quality control, product presentation, managing and, supporting the team. Our guest is the heart of our business. All ToGo Department Managers must have kitchen supervisory experience, food knowledge, positive energy, be dependable, possess basic math skills and excellent communication skills.

Enforce the highest standards of quality and service. Ensure food is replenished in a timely manner.

Manage schedules, team members PTO time, maintain timecards and manage labor.

Assist with multiple-shift operations for (hot bar, salad bar, soup bar, and coffee station).

Prepare a variety of food products (breakfast/lunch, prepared foods, and salad bar items).

Oversee kitchen staff, assign tasks, and set tone and pace of the kitchen.

Monitor department profitability, appearance, and supervise team members.

Review and analyze department sales, waste, and labor reports.

Supervise team members, ensuring service standards are always being met.

Process and submit orders; keeping track of department inventory.

Monitor quality, freshness and safeguard proper product rotation.

Adhere to all DOH, DOA and OSHA standards.

Ensure department is cleaned and maintained throughout all shifts.

Maintain accurate department signage and pricing.

Keep records of temperatures, production, spoilage, and department transfers by way of department log.

Direct and support team members on department opening and closing procedures.

Assist Department Manager with hiring, training and the development of all team members.

Cultivate, develop and retain team members by way of motivation, and providing feedback.

Adhere to all assigned duties by management team.

Minimum of 3 years’ kitchen supervisor experience.

Flexibility schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Ability to perform physical requirements of job including standing during scheduled hours, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, lifting, push and pull items of usually 50-60 pounds.

Food safety and sanitation knowledge.

Ability to show initiative, work with limited supervision, and are self-motivated.

Ability to hire, train, inspire and develop a team.

Team builder and brand ambassador.

Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

Analytical thinking and proficiency in math needed to perform job responsibilities.

Proficient computer knowledge and skills; Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
