Media Buyer – Political Campaigns GMMB is seeking a skilled and strategic Media Buyer to support political advertising campaigns during the 2026 election cycle. This role involves planning, negotiating, and executing media buys across multiple platforms for political campaigns. The ideal candidate is passionate about politics and will bring strong analytical skills, media expertise, and a collaborative spirit to a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.

Responsibilities

Stay up to date on news and developments related to assigned political races, with a strong interest in the 2026 election cycle.

Manage or support multiple client accounts in collaboration with internal teams.

Identify target audiences and determine optimal media platforms.

Develop strategic media plans aligned with campaign objectives and KPIs.

Conduct competitive political media analysis and monitor opponent spending.

Negotiate media rates and placements to ensure cost‑effective buys and ensure candidate campaigns are utilizing LUR.

Coordinate trafficking and delivery of media assets.

Oversee multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior media buyers.

Takes initiative to learn about internal AI tools and utilize them for daily tasks.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and specialized training or on‑the‑job training.

3‑6 years of experience in advertising or sales.

Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.

Experience in Strata Freewheel is not required but considered a plus.

Work Schedule & Location Hybrid work schedule with at least two days in office presence. Position based in Washington, DC. Salary range $65,000 – $85,000. Full‑time, salaried, benefits eligible. Run through mid‑November 2026.
