Job Overview
Fairview Health Services is seeking an Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to join the multi‑specialty practice at M Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center – Maple Grove. Join a group of physicians interested in staying on the cutting edge of their field and participating in quality improvement committees.
Practice Details:
Join a team of 8 physicians, 2 APRN’s and 2 Physician Assistant
Surgical cases and deliveries performed at Maple Grove Hospital. Surgeries are also performed at the CSC-Maple Grove site.
Admitting Hospital: Maple Grove Hospital
Average of 100 deliveries annually per physician.
Average of 20‑24 patients per day in clinic
Full time (1.0 FTE)
Schedule details: 4 day clinical work week – includes clinic, surgery, and on‑call time
There will be an expectation that physicians will see clinic patients at the Maple Grove Clinic and one additional Fairview community clinic nearby.
Call Coverage: 1:8 shared equally. Maple Grove Hospital is staffed 24/7 by an employed OB Hospitalist program.
Established referral base of Fairview employed primary care and sub‑specialty physicians.
Responsibilities
Provides general patient care involving subjective and objective evaluation, assessment and formulation of a plan of care.
Prescribes or administers treatment as determined by the plan of care.
Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needs.
Consults with and make appropriate referral(s) to other health care providers in abnormal or unusual cases. Refers within the Fairview network.
Maintains the electronic medical record in accordance with Fairview standards and in accordance with licensure and scope.
Recognizes and appropriately responds to medical emergencies.
Serves as a patient advocate by maintaining patient confidentiality, protecting patient rights, communicating in a timely manner and resolving concerns or complaints regarding care and service.
Assists in the development of new policies, programs, procedures or techniques.
Participates in research, educational or other special projects or programs as needed.
Dedicates majority of time to providing quality patient care and service. Participates equitably in responsibilities of patient care in designated department.
May provide work direction to medical support and nursing staff in designated work unit.
Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes or workflows.
Demonstrates knowledge of age‑related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.

Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training program
Board Certified/Board Eligible with the ABMS
Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure
Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
Meet threshold criteria/qualification for Credentialing and Privileges

Compensation Disclaimer The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Positions with the same min/max are flat rate jobs based on 40 hours/week. Compensation plans based on production can allow for higher pay than the range posted.
