* J.D. from ABA accredited law school.* A member in good standing of a U.S. state bar.* Two to Five years of progressively responsible legal experience in several of the substantive areas of practice.* Experience in regulatory compliance, Indigenous Peoples Law, Tribal permitting and authorizations, Indigenous policy development and engagement and some experience in environmental and real property law, including preparing, negotiating and reviewing contracts and other agreements.* Highly developed skills including issue identification, strategic analysis and resolution through supervision, coordination and use of internal and external staff and counsel.* Preference may be given to a professional knowledgeable of Native American culture, traditions and values.* A dedication to customer service and teamwork.* Shared appreciation for the department's culture which is founded on providing results for clients and department, learning and developing as individuals and as a department, and caring about our people.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.* Leadership capabilities with a desire to develop that skill set further.* Self-directed with ability to quickly assimilate role, responsibilities and organization culture.* Able to work on multiple assignments and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment, with minimal direction.* Experience in computer system use and word processing capabilities.* Participation in large-scale construction projects in a highly regulated environment strongly preferred.* Some experience working with tribal governments, state agencies, including familiarity with litigation.* Knowledge of pipeline operations, including Federal and State environmental laws and regulations affecting crude oil is preferred.* Knowledge of PHMSA regulations and other Federal Laws applied to crude oil pipelines is helpful.**Salary:** Ranges from $112,500 – $146,300 based upon experience.**Benefits** - Regular Employees* PPO & HSO plans (only HSA if participate in the HSO)* 12 US Paid Holidays + PTO* Family Illness days* Military Leave (provides up to two years of paid leave with benefit continuation)* Benefits coverage starts on Day 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
