Career Opportunity Our client, an established accounting and advisory firm, is seeking a Manager for their Accounting Advisory team. This role offers the chance to work with Fortune 100 brands, high-growth companies, and mid-market firms to address complex financial and business challenges while advancing professional growth.
Team Overview – Accounting Advisory The Accounting Advisory team consists of professionals with public accounting experience and business consultants across multiple industries. The team provides guidance through IPOs, M&A lifecycle support, and technical accounting solutions to resolve complex financial reporting issues.
Key Responsibilities
Support companies on IPO preparation, transaction support, carve-outs/spin-offs, audit readiness, and adoption of new accounting standards.
Provide research-based guidance and technical accounting recommendations to clients and colleagues.
Prepare and deliver presentations on technical concepts, project plans, milestones, and results.
Review team progress for compliance with work programs and professional standards.
Educate internal and external audiences on accounting advisory best practices.
Identify, design, and implement solutions to improve methodology and client delivery.
Build credibility as a trusted advisor and manage client relationships with a focus on business growth.
Participate in staff development and technical training initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA and/or CMA certification
5+ years of professional services experience (public accounting or advisory firm preferred) or relevant technical accounting/financial reporting experience with a publicly held/Fortune 500 organization
Knowledge of SEC reporting, U.S. GAAP, and SOX standards
Understanding of accounting and audit practices, procedures, and reporting standards
Willingness to travel at least 25%
Master’s degree in Accounting
Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems such as Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Workday, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365
Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to exceed client expectations
Experience managing and executing complex projects in challenging environments
