REQ-39571NewsNation is looking for an experienced network-level leader to oversee, produce and manage a daily cable news show. You will work in concert with the show's host and network leadership on the editorial and creative direction of the show. You will manage, direct, and oversee the show team, including senior producers, line producers, segment producers, booking producers, and associate producers in story selection, identifying guests, building the rundown, and in executing a clean broadcast. You will also work closely with production to enhance the viewer experience, ensure seamless production, and incorporate best-in-class technology. We are looking for a creative, decisive leader who is calm under pressure and can make and lead others to make decisions under deadline pressure. In a competitive media landscape, we are looking for a dedicated, emersed news leader who can break down information and select compelling storylines that are balanced, informed and digestible to the broadcast audience. The Executive Producer will lead by example, providing candid, consistent, and solution-oriented feedback to all members of the staff to elevate the level of production and allow the program to innovate. The position is based at the network's offices in Washington, DC.Duties & Responsibilities:Work with NewsNation Network leadership team on the overall editorial vision for news programHire and manage newsroom employees working on the programDirect the daily editorial decision making and show production to deliver an informative, insightful, and well-rounded programEnsure editorial content meets NewsNation standards and practicesMust be attuned to cross-platform strategies to have brand consistency across broadcast and digitalMust have a vision and develop strategies to ensure ratings successPerform other duties as assigned by managementRequirements & Skills:Experience producing for a national news program or producing newscasts in a top 10 marketExperience covering politics and governmentStrong news judgementQuick decision maker and creative thinkerEffective coach and mentor to staff of all experience levelsCollaborative team player who advocates for their show but find ways to elevate network reportingBachelor's degree in journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experienceExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenAbility to adapt to change, meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyProficiency with ENPSFlexibility to work different shiftsSalary Range: $175,000 - $225,000Benefits: Our comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees includes, but not limited to, medical (with multiple plan options), dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) with company matching contributions, Paid Parental leave, life insurance and more.
