This position can be located in Alexandria, VA, Denver, CO, Austin, TX, Reno, NV, Seattle, WA (Mercer Island), and remote candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Vice President of Data Center Security Operations – North America

, you will be responsible for building and leading all facets of data center security operations: lead and scale security operations across all data center campuses. This role will own security strategy and vendor service oversight for physical security, access control, monitoring, and third party security providers. The VP will build a secure, compliant, and resilient environment. This protects assets, people, and customer workloads. The role partners with operations, facilities, engineering, construction, procurement, and compliance teams to integrate security across the full data center lifecycle. This role reports to the SVP, Chief Security Officer and works closely with Data Center Operations, Facilities, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Compliance, Finance, and Customer Success. External partners include security vendors, contractors, auditors, regulators, and emergency agencies. Key Responsibilities Define and own the enterprise wide security operations strategy for all data center sites. This includes physical security, access control, CCTV, guard force and vendor security services, emergency response, and compliance. Manage vendor relationships and third party security service providers. Develop and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs), performance metrics, contract terms, and vendor compliance. Build, lead, and grow the security operations organization. Hire and develop staff and vendor management teams. Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and protocols for security, incident response, access control, and compliance. Align with ISO, NIST, and regulatory requirements. Oversee risk management, threat assessments, incident response and post incident reviews. Manage security budgets, vendor contracts, and vendor performance. Optimize cost effectiveness without reducing security. Collaborate with data center operations, facilities, engineering, procurement, construction, and compliance to integrate security across build and operations. Report security metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to executive leadership. Stay ahead of evolving threats and technologies. Recommend and implement upgrades for access control, surveillance, biometrics, and automation. Support business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management planning. : 10+ years of experience in security operations or physical security leadership 5+ years in a senior or executive role 10+ years of experience managing vendor relationships and third party security service providers 10+ years of experience in ISO, NIST, safety, and compliance frameworks 10+ years of experience creating and executing security policies, SOPs, and incident response plans. 10+ years of experience in leadership roles building teams. 10+ years of experience communicating with executives, vendors, customers, and regulators 7+ years of experience in data center environments and how security fits into mission critical operations. 7+ years of experience in financial management for budgets and vendor contracts Preferred Qualifications

: Experience with vendor-managed security services or guard force oversight PSP, CPP, CISSP, or similar credential. Experience with compliance audits and physical security design for data centers. Experience with Crisis Management Expected Salary Range

: Base salary up to $300,000 plus annual bonus Travel:

Up to 50% travel to sites and in-person team meetings.
