Summary A leading assisted living organization with a strong cluster of communities in the Downstate New York region is seeking an experienced Regional Executive Director to oversee operations across multiple facilities. This senior leadership role will focus on compliance, operations, and census growth while supporting on-site leadership teams, including Executive Directors, Nursing, Marketing, and HR.
The Regional Executive Director will serve as a key operator, ensuring each community is run efficiently, remains in compliance with DOH standards, and maintains a high level of resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Provide operational leadership across a cluster of assisted living communities in NJ and Downstate NY
Oversee and support Executive Directors, Directors of Nursing, Marketing, and HR to ensure optimal performance
Ensure all facilities remain in full compliance with DOH and other regulatory agencies
Lead census growth initiatives and drive financial performance across the portfolio
Collaborate with ownership and senior leadership on strategy and long-term planning
Monitor facility performance metrics and implement improvements where needed
Serve as a visible leader, building strong relationships with residents, families, and staff
Mentor and develop facility-level leadership to ensure stability and growth
Requirements
Proven experience in multi-site leadership within assisted living or long-term care
Strong knowledge of DOH regulations and compliance requirements
Track record of success in census growth, operations management, and financial oversight
Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and inspire multiple teams
Based in the NY Metro Area with flexibility to travel regularly between communities
