Driver
Reports to: Distribution Manager
Drivers are responsible to deliver product on time in a safe manner. They must maintain product integrity in transit, verify delivery and return quantities and clean trucks.
This is a third shift job. It can be from 10pm to 5 or 6am and can be a 4 to 6 day work week.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify delivery quantities and load trucks.
- Deliver product in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintain product integrity throughout delivery cycle.
- Count and collect returns.
- Accurately complete all delivery tickets.
- Upon return to facility, unload racks and baskets and ensure truck is clean.
- Communicate with the Distribution Manager concerns that are impeding efficient performance of tasks.
- Communicate to the Distribution Manager customer complaints regarding product quality, delivery or service.
- Perform additional duties upon request.
- Complete the Driver Log and Delivery checklist and ensure that all tasks are complete.
- Practice "Clean As You Go."
- Report to work on time and maintain good personal hygiene.
- Perform according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety guidelines throughout the production shift.
- Strictly adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Drivers license with good driving record.
- Physically able to load, unload and deliver racks.
- Must have knowledge of basic math and reading (English) skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
