A thriving biotechnology company in Boston is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their team. Reporting into the Accounting Manager, this role will support all aspects of the accounting function. The ideal candidate is a driven problem-solver with excellent attention to detail.
Base pay range $60,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Assist Accounting department with preparing journal entries, perform reconciliations, and perform account analysis.
Apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to prepare income and balance sheet statements and various other accounting statements and reports.
Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable responsibilities.
Assist in audit of fixed assets as well as financial audits.
Reconcile bank accounts and prepare daily cash log.
Provide data and analysis for month end reports.
Ad hoc analysis as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
1-3+ years directly applicable accounts payable experience or relevant accounting/finance experience preferred.
Strong customer service-type attitude and ability to successfully deal with employee and vendor questions and resolve issues.
Absolute integrity and the use of good judgment to handle the confidential nature of duties, tasks and information.
Incredibly detail-oriented and results driven.
Ability to meet critical deadlines.
