Job Description AECOM is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager (landside) for our Baltimore, MD office. The role supports the successful delivery of complex construction projects by providing on‑site construction monitoring, inspection and quality assurance services. Working under general supervision as part of a multidisciplinary PMCM team, the position focuses on overseeing assigned construction packages while coordinating closely with contractors, client representatives, design engineers and third‑party inspectors. The role emphasizes ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, safety requirements and quality standards, while maintaining accurate field documentation, reports and logs to support project controls, cost tracking and overall construction performance.
Monitor and document construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
Perform routine duties on site during the construction workday.
Conduct daily quality assurance inspections to verify contractor workmanship meets industry standards.
Compare installed materials and equipment with approved submittals and take appropriate action if unapproved materials are used.
Apply professional judgment on work details and coordinate field matters with client personnel, contractors, design engineers and third‑party entities.
Prepare and submit daily inspection reports to the Senior Construction Manager.
Assess quantity surveys for tracking, reporting and contractor payment purposes.
Identify, track and manage interfaces between construction packages.
Assist in safety programs and ensure adherence to both AECOM and contractor safety requirements.
Chair progress meetings when necessary and maintain accurate meeting minutes.
Track change order logs and assess the validity of change order requests.
Track RFIs and submittals and maintain daily diaries and logs for reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS in Engineering, Construction or related field + 6 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License. Must pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records Review.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience in construction management and inspection within the engineering or construction industry.
PE registration.
Experience in port and marine terminal development.
Experience working as part of a field PMCM team.
Experience with a PMIS (Procore, etc.).
Familiarity with the Baltimore, MD area.
Relevant field experience preferred.
Success in working with remote teams.

Compensation : $100,000 – $140,000 per year, based on education, qualifications, experience and location.
