The Engineering Department at AKRF is seeking a Senior Site Civil Engineer to work in our New York City office. This individual will serve a key function in the design and management of a broad range of land development projects for both our municipal and private sector clients. The potential candidate will have the opportunity to work in an environment of encouragement and collaboration to help AKRF shape the future of New York.
Job Responsibilities
Lead/support preparation of site/civil engineering drawings, specifications and reports for project in NYC and the NYC metropolitan area. Lead/support project management responsibilities including managing discrete tasks, project schedule and budget. Lead/support construction administration responsibilities including periodic site visits to active construction sites. Provide direction, delegation and training to junior staff. Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Civil Engineering. 5-10 years of experience. NYS PE recommended; however, applicants with PE Licensure in other states will be required to obtain NYS Licensure within 6-12 months of hire. Day-to-day project communication and coordination with clients and other design consultants. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Superior attention to detail and organizational ability. Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D is essential. Experience with the NYC permitting process and/or Westchester County approvals process. Compensation
