Job Description
To perform complex financial analysis and to provide supervisory guidance in a fiscal group of the Medical Branch.
Job Duties
As a PBL Senior Financial Analyst, this position’s focus would include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Approve expense reimbursements, requisitions, and non-PO vouchers in POWER. Ensure chartfields and account codes are correct, and that the expense is appropriate, allowable, and follows guidelines.
Manage, analyze, and distribute reports on department division accounts.
Approve expense reimbursements, requisitions, and non-PO vouchers in People Soft.
Prepare monthly and quarterly Family Planning program and Healthy Texas Women’s program vouchers and financial reports.
Manage and maintain balances and distribute reports on all department professional development accounts.
Manage, analyze, and distribute reports on all department endowments.
Calculate monthly revenue split between the AE and Health System for Family Planning revenue and sends monthly reports.
Manage, analyze, and distribute reports on all department gift, commitment, start-up, legal and Presidents Cabinet award accounts.
Calculate and prepare monthly incentive payments for the CBC providers.
Calculate and prepare bi-annual Gyn Division faculty wRVU split reports.
Prepare clinical productivity reports for Pediatrics and OB/GYN.
Participate in the preparation, justification, and control of budgets.
Prepare all department account deposits.
Prepare all department cost transfers.
Acts as the liaison between accounting, other departments and outside entities.
Utilize query/reporting tools, such as Hyperion Essbase, to extract and analyze financial and non-financial data and report resulting information in a format that meets the needs of the requestor.
Provide information and guidance to Faculty and Staff as to the use of university funds.
Create and develop specialized reports as requested.
Salary Range Actual salary commensurate with experience or range if discussed and approved by hiring authority.
