ADVANCED PRACTICE CLINICIAN - CARDIOTHORACIC SURGERY ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO

Presbyterian Healthcare Services, a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system in New Mexico, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery team in Albuquerque, NM.

We are currently seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with surgical experience in full-scope Cardiothoracic practice to join our exceptional Adult Cardiothoracic service.

Position Highlights:

Full scope of cardiothoracic surgery (clinic-pre and postop, consults, stepdown, ICU, OR first assist)

Salary up to $230K depending on experience

Relocation and sign‑on bonuses

4‑day work week

Call in rotation with the other APCs

Team currently consists of 2 Physician Assistants, 2 Nurse Practitioners and 3 CT surgeons

Growing thoracic practice, including robotic procedures

Ability to practice at the top of license in a full-practice authority state

Performs other functions as required

What We’re Seeking:

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with thoracic or cardiothoracic experience required

Outstanding patient care qualities, highly motivated with an interest to work in a team environment.

Ability to obtain a medical license to practice in the state of New Mexico.

Credentials Required:

Prior CT, thoracic, congenital cardiac, is required.

Robotic Experience preferred

For Nurse Practitioner – Masters degree in Nursing, New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license with three (3) years of OR experience or one (1) year if able to do EVH with Federal and state DEA license.

For Physician Assistant – CAHEA Certified Physician Assistant with three (3) years of OR experience or one (1) year if able to do EVH and licensed by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners required.
