Pay Range Base pay: $211,660 – $255,709 per year (DOE, based on 1.00 FTE).
Position Overview Title:
Staff Physician with Gender‑Affirming Care (GAC)
Hours:
Full or part‑time, 0.5‑1.00 FTE
Reports To:
Medical Director and Team Clinician Lead – Lombardi campus
Salary Range:
$211,660 – $255,709 DOE (based on 1.00 FTE)
Lombardi campus is located in a predominantly Spanish‑speaking community in the Roseland neighbourhood of southwest Santa Rosa. The position focuses on gender‑affirming care for a diverse patient panel, primarily Spanish‑monolingual, supporting both adult and pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities
Create continuity primary‑care relationships with patients on your panel; diagnose and treat patients within the scope of your California licence and Family Medicine Board Certification using evidence‑based medicine.
Proficiently use the OCHIN Epic EMR, sign encounters within agency timeline standards, manage inbox and coordinate referrals to specialists.
Facilitate referral and coordination with other specialists for patient care.
Lead and support quality initiatives, including improving workflows, treatment guidelines and protocols.
Collaborate with other SRCH clinicians and external providers regarding gender‑diverse patient care.
Meet regularly with Clinician Lead and/or Medical Director to review patient care issues and contribute to treatment protocol development.
Provide on‑call clinical consult to Family Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
Supervise up to 4 non‑independent FNPs or PAs.
Participate in ongoing training, maintain HIPAA compliance, and support variance reporting systems.
Additional Duties
Dedicated administrative time for managing gender‑clinic tasks: referral coordination, medication prior authorisations, responding to referral denials, and other care‑coordination tasks.
Precept Family Medicine (MD/DO) or FNP residents in the GAC clinic.
Qualifications
Education:
Active California medical licence in good standing; Board‑eligible or Board‑certified in Family Medicine; Current CPR (BLS adequate) certification.
Proficiency with procedures enumerated on the Staff Physician competency list.
Proficient EMR skills (Epic in clinic and hospital, Outlook email, related software).
Fluency in Spanish and English (speak; read; write), especially in medical settings.
Strong interpersonal skills; sensitivity to diverse social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.
Experience providing gender‑affirming care to gender‑diverse adults.
Physical Requirements
Use standard office equipment; type on a computer; reach forward, up, down, and to the side.
Sit or stand for minimum periods of one hour at a time, moving frequently.
Lift minimum 20 pounds.
Give and follow verbal/written instructions with attention to detail.
Perform complex mental functions, including differential diagnosis and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
Perform basic arithmetic for prescribing medications.
Travel to other office and community locations as needed.
