Job Description Sellers & Associates is seeking an experienced

Data Scientist with AI/ML expertise

to support NAVWAR mission objectives. The successful candidate will apply advanced data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence techniques to develop data-driven solutions that enhance operational effectiveness, decision‑making, system performance, and mission readiness across Navy information warfare domains.

This role supports NAVWAR programs focused on

data exploitation, predictive analytics, automation, and AI‑enabled capabilities

in support of fleet operations, readiness, cybersecurity, and command-and‑control systems.

Job Requirements

Design, develop, and deploy

AI/ML models

to analyze structured and unstructured data in support of NAVWAR mission requirements.

Apply

statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling

to identify trends, anomalies, and operational insights.

Support development of

data pipelines , feature engineering, and model training using government‑approved environments and tools.

Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and program teams to integrate AI solutions into

operational systems and workflows .

Develop and maintain

data visualizations, dashboards, and reports

to communicate findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Ensure AI/ML solutions align with

DoD data governance, cybersecurity, and Responsible AI (RAI) principles .

Support documentation, testing, validation, and transition of AI capabilities into production environments.

Participate in technical reviews, working groups, and customer briefings as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs)

3‑7+ years of experience performing data science, analytics, or AI/ML work (experience supporting DoD or federal customers preferred).

Hands‑on experience with machine learning techniques (e.g., supervised/unsupervised learning, classification, regression, clustering).

Proficiency in Python and common data science libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Experience working with large datasets, data cleansing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.

Familiarity with cloud or on‑prem data environments used by the DoD.

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to government stakeholders.
