Opportunity Details
Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Anesthesiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. There are ample leadership opportunities in our growing practice, and although we don't handle heart surgeries or transplants, we do encounter occasional pediatric cases involving children over 2 years old. Our colleagues boast fellowships in OB anesthesia, Peds anesthesia, Pain Management, Critical Care, and Cardiothoracic anesthesia.
We typically handle around 300-360 OR cases per month, fewer than 100 deliveries per month, and a labor epidural rate of approximately 80%. Our off‑site areas include MRI, IR, and an endoscopy/bronchoscopy suite. We currently have 6 main ORs and no office anesthesia or freestanding outpatient facility. Three dedicated biomedical equipment techs support the department. While some cases are solo without a CRNA or resident, the CRNA ratio is 1:2, and all CRNAs work under supervision. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
The Mission of NYC Health + Hospitals is to extend equally to all New Yorkers, regardless of the ability to pay, comprehensive health services of the highest quality in an atmosphere of humane care, dignity, and respect. Their values are built on a foundation of social and racial equity and have established the ICARE standards for all staff.
