Your Responsibilities
Prepare Closing Documents: Prepare, compile, and audit closing documents for accuracy and compliance with loan approvals and regulatory disclosures.
Coordinate Closing Conditions: Coordinate with internal teams, title companies, vendors, and borrowers to ensure all conditions are met prior to closing and funding.
Approve Funding: Review signed closing documents and approve funding in accordance with transaction terms.
Manage Fund Disbursement: Manage disbursement of funds and ensure proper documentation is in place for delivery and servicing.
Perform Post-Closing Audits: Perform post-closing tasks including auditing files, resolving discrepancies, and clearing unexpected liens.
Track and Resolve Deficiencies: Maintain accurate records of deficiencies and remediation steps; ensure timely resolution.
Validate Regulatory Compliance: Validate fee tolerances, re-disclosure timelines, and regulatory compliance (RESPA/TILA).
Monitor Loan Pipeline: Monitor pipeline to ensure timely processing and closing of consumer loan applications.
Liaise on Business Needs: Act as a liaison for business requirements, systemic issues, and process updates.
Maintain Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and federal lending regulations.
Deliver Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Minimum Requirements This position requires an experienced level of proficiency. We require a High school Diploma along with 3-5 years or more of practical experience in closing, underwriting, processing, or real estate documentation within a financial institution or title company.
Required Skills
SAFE Act Registration: SAFE Act registration required through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
Apply Lending Expertise: Extensive knowledge of consumer lending guidelines, closing procedures, and real estate documentation.
Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Strong understanding of RESPA/TILA compliance and loan origination processes.
Utilize Origination Platforms: Proficiency in home equity origination systems/platforms.
Manage Complex Tasks: Proven ability to resolve complex issues, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Communicate Effectively: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate Team Collaboration: Demonstrated teamwork and customer service skills.

Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
