Associate Director of Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting
We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Director of Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting with deep expertise in ASC 606, 808, 730, and 842 to lead complex accounting assessments and ensure accurate, compliant SEC reporting.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis. NO C2C.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical accounting analysis for complex revenue arrangements, collaborative agreements, R&D activities, and leasing transactions.
Prepare and review detailed technical accounting position papers and audit‑ready memos.
Oversee technical support for SEC filings (10‑K, 10‑Q, 8‑K), including disclosures related to revenue, leases, and R&D.
Partner cross‑functionally with Legal, Sales Ops, FP&A, Real Estate, and Operations.
Ensure ongoing compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX controls.
Act as the primary technical accounting contact for external auditors and advisors.
Support M&A accounting, business combinations, and post‑close integration as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA required
7+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting and SEC reporting
Deep hands‑on expertise in ASC 606, 808, 730, and 842
Strong experience preparing technical accounting memoranda
Public accounting and/or public company experience preferred
