Senior Software Engineer, Client Engagement
About Us:
Grow Therapy is on a mission to serve as the trusted partner for therapists growing their practice, and patients accessing high‑quality care. Powered by technology, we are a three‑sided marketplace that empowers providers, augments insurance payors, and serves patients. Since launching in February 2021, we’ve empowered more than ten thousand therapists and hundreds of thousands of clients across the country and insurance landscape. We’ve raised more than $178 million of funding from Sequoia Capital, Transformation Capital, TCV, SignalFire, and others.
About the Role:
We’re hiring a full‑stack Software Engineer to help us build the next generation mental healthcare platform. You’ll join a mission‑driven team where engineering decisions are tightly aligned with business outcomes, and our broader goal of making affordable mental health care more accessible across the United States.
This role is full‑stack by design: you’ll work across our backend services (Python/Flask) and frontend applications (React/TypeScript). We expect applicants to be equally comfortable improving our frontend client portal experience or writing an API spec to support a mobile app feature.
What You’ll Work On:
Build Strong Foundations: Ensure the core in‑session experience is available to all clients on both mobile app & web, is reliable, and intuitive.
Deliver Personalized Recommendations: Create an intelligent recommendation engine that leverages data we have to surface the most relevant tools and resources.
Provide High‑Value Between‑Session Tools: Offer meaningful tools that extend care beyond sessions and help clients apply therapy in daily life.
Who You Are:
4+ years of professional experience – You’ve contributed meaningfully to production systems and are comfortable owning development tasks with guidance.
Full‑stack fluency – You’re comfortable building end‑to‑end features, from backend services and APIs to polished, user‑facing interfaces.
Impact‑oriented – You prioritize outcomes over output and think deeply about the business and user value behind your work.
Adaptable – You thrive in evolving environments and can stay productive even when requirements shift.
Team player – You collaborate well, communicate with empathy, and enjoy mentoring and learning from others.
Bonus Points:
You use modern AI tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to boost your productivity and focus on higher‑leverage problems.
You have collaborated with iOS and/or Android engineering teams to develop both the backend and/or frontend components required for a mobile application.
You have taken products from the initial 0‑to‑1 stage through to successful scaling post‑launch.
Why This Role Is Exciting:
Join us at the Care Connections group and be at the forefront of revolutionizing mental health care. As part of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming therapy from isolated appointments into a continuous care journey, leveraging cutting‑edge technology to bridge the gaps between therapy sessions. Be a part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence, in service of our mission.
