Solutions Engineer – Integrations Apply to join Canals, a fully remote, profitable startup transforming the industrial supply chain ($10T industry) with AI.

About Canals Canals is a fully remote, profitable startup transforming the industrial supply chain ($10T industry) with AI. Our platform seamlessly integrates with the systems distributors already use, automating tedious tasks and reducing failure points in moving physical goods across the globe. We’re a 70‑person team (~45 in engineering), located across North and South America.

The Role We’re hiring a Solutions Engineer to help distributors implement, integrate, and scale successfully on Canals. You’ll play a key role in onboarding new customers, ensuring their systems connect smoothly with our platform, and serving as a technical partner to Customer Success Managers post‑launch. The role is highly cross‑functional — part technical problem‑solver, part educator, part process builder. You’ll work directly with customers to translate business needs into configuration and integration solutions, while also serving as a go‑to product expert for our internal teams.

What You’ll Do

Partner with CSMs during onboarding to configure and validate integrations, ensuring customers go live smoothly.

Act as a technical subject matter expert during customer calls, explaining complex concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.

Investigate and resolve integration and data issues using APIs, SQL, and platform logs.

Collaborate closely with Engineering to debug, elevate, and document technical issues.

Contribute to the creation of internal tools, setup templates, and technical documentation to streamline future implementations.

Provide light support coverage via email or chat for technical troubleshooting.

Serve as a bridge between Product, CS, and Engineering — helping translate customer needs into actionable improvements.

What You'll Bring

Strong understanding of APIs and how they work.

Comfortable with SQL and basic database configurations.

Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.

Experience in a customer‑facing technical or implementation role.

Highly organized and collaborative; thrives in a cross‑functional environment.

Bonus Points

Experience working directly with ERP systems (e.g., Eclipse, Epicor, SAP, Infor) or supporting data integrations with them.

Experience supporting enterprise customers with complex technical environments and multiple stakeholders.

Experience building integrations or connecting systems via APIs.

Project management experience — managing timelines and deliverables across multiple customers.

Experience in early‑stage startups and helping define technical processes from scratch.

Experience supporting non‑technical customers in complex operational industries (e.g., distribution, logistics, manufacturing).
