We are seeking an Infectious Disease Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Georgia. This role begins on Dec 22, 2025, and offers a Monday to Friday daytime schedule, with weekend hospital rounds approximately every six weeks and a compensatory day off during rotation call weeks. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing long-term IV antibiotic therapy, central line evaluation, and joint management of infected prosthetics.

Provider Type Needed: Infectious Disease Physician

Schedule: Standard schedule Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (40 hours per week). Weekend hospital rounds occur about every 6 weeks, with a weekday off during those rotation weeks.

Responsibilities and Duties

Management of long-term IV antibiotic therapy (including OPAT)

Central line evaluation, including removal decisions and infection assessment

Joint management of infected prosthetics

Guidance and documentation of isolation precautions

Interpretation of laboratory and culture data

Additional Information

Georgia medical license required

Board certification in Infectious Disease required

Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification required
