About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and forward‑thinking leader to guide the direction of Clinical Data Science within a global clinical development environment. This role drives the scientific, analytical, and technological vision needed to support high‑impact clinical programs across multiple therapeutic areas.
The Senior Executive Director will oversee the integration of advanced statistical methodologies, AI/ML, and multi‑modal data analytics—including imaging, genomics, proteomics, biomarkers, and precision‑medicine frameworks. This leader will also represent the data science function externally, including interactions with global regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute the long‑term Clinical Data Science strategy supporting clinical study design, evidence generation, and development planning.
Serve as the primary data science representative in global Health Authority interactions, guiding regulatory strategy and shaping external viewpoints.
Innovation & Scientific Excellence
Lead the adoption and implementation of AI/ML approaches for disease modeling, biomarker discovery, diagnostic enhancement, and precision medicine applications.
Oversee multiple large, complex analytical initiatives from concept through delivery, ensuring scientific rigor and program alignment.
Evaluate analytical pathways, anticipate challenges, and deliver innovative solutions to statistical and data‑driven problems.
Thought Leadership & External Engagement
Present at scientific conferences, contribute to industry collaborations, and maintain strong networks with leaders in biostatistics, data science, and clinical research.
Lead, mentor, and grow a global team of data scientists, statisticians, and people managers.
Support professional development through coaching, clear expectations, and strategic growth planning.
Operational & Regulatory Excellence
Ensure GxP‑compliant data science programming and statistical deliverables across clinical trials.
Manage functional budgets, oversee vendor relationships, and ensure high‑quality outsourced work.
Executive‑Level Communication
Translate complex analytics into clear, compelling insights for senior leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related quantitative discipline.
Extensive experience applying statistical and data science methodologies within clinical development.
Minimum 10 years of industry experience in Data Science, Biostatistics, or related functions.
Recognized expertise in at least one advanced area (e.g., AI/ML modeling, biomarker analytics, precision medicine).
Demonstrated ability to present externally and influence regulatory authorities.
Strong leadership experience managing diverse technical teams.
Preferred: research experience in neurology, including Alzheimer’s‑related biomarkers (plasma, CSF, imaging).
