UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering, the second largest college at Berkeley, has 4,200 undergraduates, 2,500 graduate students, 400 staff, and 250 faculty. The Information Systems Analyst serves as the primary point of contact for IT user support and IT system management for College of Engineering Dean’s Office personnel, and provides IT support to other groups within the College of Engineering as needed. The Analyst manages day‑to‑day operations of the COE WordPress website hosting service on the WP Engine platform, including creating new sites, assisting users, and ensuring compliance with accessibility and security standards. The Analyst also provides AV support in College of Engineering spaces. The First Review Date for this job is: December 29, 2025 – Open Until Filled Responsibilities

30% End User IT Support Provide timely and thoughtful IT user support Manage staff MacOS and Windows computers, including laptops used off site Provide local assistance for campus services such as Zoom, Google Suite, Box, VPN, DocuSign, Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, telecom, etc. Work with campus technology partners to resolve technical issues Select and purchase computer hardware and software 30% WordPress Web Hosting Service Management Manage day‑to‑day operations of the College of Engineering WP Engine WordPress web hosting service, responding to inquiries, spinning up new sites, and assisting users in resolving hosting and plugin issues Manage bulk theme and plugin upgrades across multiple websites Troubleshoot hosting platform issues in coordination with WP Engine support Perform outreach to users and create training to encourage user self‑sufficiency and adherence to policies including accessibility Work with the College of Engineering Web Director to modify and improve web hosting services and processes as technologies and campus policies change 20% IT Operations and System Management Implement technology that improves the effectiveness and efficiency of College of Engineering operations Manage Active Directory users, computers, security groups, and Group Policy Manage Google SPA accounts, Google calendars, Google Drive Shared Drives, email lists, CalGroups (Grouper), and Box folders Manage usage of campus IT services such as NetApp storage, virtual servers, and campus data network Manage desktop printers and shared multifunction copiers Manage security of IT systems and resolve campus network security notifications Ensure compliance with campus IT policies Write and maintain internal and user documentation 20% AV Support Manage Zoom Rooms and associated hardware Manage digital signage systems Provide support for audiovisual equipment such as displays, projectors, cameras, and microphones Provide AV support for special events including recording and streaming Required Qualifications

Knowledge of Windows and MacOS desktop, laptop, and server system management, Active Directory, Group Policy, Jamf, VMWare, Citrix Experience with TCP/IP networking, network security, Wi‑Fi, Ethernet Experience in end‑user IT technical support for computers, mobile devices, printers, Google Suite, DocuSign, Zoom, Box, VPN, etc. WordPress website management experience including plugins, themes, and accessibility Ability and motivation to write and maintain comprehensive technical documentation Interpersonal and customer service skills for working with technical and non‑technical personnel at all levels of the organization Ability to work as part of a team, including collaboration, accountability, positive attitude, and flexibility Problem‑solving skills, motivation to learn, and persistence to work through challenges Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner Preferred Qualifications

Under California law, the University of California, Berkeley is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $91,500 to $130,200 yearly ($7,625 to $10,850 monthly); the full salary range for this title is $91,500 to $168,900 yearly ($7,625 to $14,075 monthly). This is a 100% FTE career position eligible for full benefits. This position is FLSA Exempt and paid monthly. Other Information
