Role Overview We are seeking a Director of IT focused on organic growth to oversee Patch Plan's infrastructure, maintain the Patch Plan database and drive brand awareness in the community.

You will own the execution of our database and user systems and be directly responsible for increasing visibility, engagement, and reliability of the infrastructure.

What You Will Do

Own and manage Patch Plan’s internal IT environment, including identity, endpoint management, cloud infrastructure, and SaaS tooling

Design and enforce IT policies covering access control, change management, patching, and asset lifecycle management

Partner closely with security and product teams to ensure internal practices align with CPMA principles and industry best practices

Act as a technical authority for customer demos, proof‑of‑concept environments, and internal testing labs

Manage vendors and service providers, including MSPs, cloud platforms, and security tooling

Establish operational metrics for uptime, patch compliance, asset coverage, and system health

Support audit, compliance, and customer due diligence requests as the company grows

What We Are Looking For

Certified Patch Management Associate (CPMA) certification from Patchplan.io

8+ years of progressive IT experience, including hands‑on systems or infrastructure engineering

Prior leadership experience managing IT teams, vendors, or enterprise IT programs

Strong experience with cloud platforms, endpoint management, identity systems, and SaaS ecosystems

Practical knowledge of patch management, vulnerability management, and IT operations workflows

Ability to translate technical decisions into clear business impact for leadership and customers

Comfort operating in a startup or scale‑up environment with evolving requirements

Bonus Experience

Background in cybersecurity, risk management, or compliance frameworks

Experience supporting security‑minded customers in regulated industries

Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and remediation workflows

Experience contributing to internal tooling, labs, or automation
