Senior Network Security Engineer – Lead New Award 5 Years. Hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 days from home). Location: Washington DC, 1155 21st Street, NW, Washington, D.C. Clearance: Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Public Trust clearance. What You’ll Do
Act as a senior network and endpoint security professional within the SOC. Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow tickets. Perform maintenance and upgrades on security tools (onsite & remote). Create and update security network diagrams using Microsoft Visio. Support compliance with NIST 800-53 standards. Recommend and present new security tools and enhancements to government stakeholders. What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. 7+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 4+ years in security engineering. Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills. Familiarity with scripting (Python, PowerShell). Knowledge of NIST 800-53 controls. Experience with Cisco Routing/Switching, Firepower IPS/Firewall, or Web Security Appliance (WSA). Familiarity with SIEM tools, data lakes, and security analytics. Security certifications (Security+, CISSP, SANS GIAC, CCNA, Microsoft AZ‑900).
