Key Responsibilities Operations Management
Oversee and personally manage warehousing and distribution operations, ensuring shipments and receipts are fulfilled accurately, efficiently, and on time.
Optimize warehouse staff performance through coaching, counseling, and evaluation to maintain high productivity.
Troubleshoot order and inventory discrepancies as needed to sustain operational efficiency.
Prepare and process shipments and receipts through Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and analyze data for operational improvements.
Maintain compliance with company procedures and a safety‑first mentality.
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and promptly address maintenance issues.
Heavy Haul & Transportation Management
Oversee the transportation, storage, and handling of heavy haul, oversized, and out‑of‑gauge cargo.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations for oversized and overweight freight.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize supply chain and logistics operations.
Leadership & Development
Lead and motivate staff, fostering a positive and results‑driven work culture.
Recruit, train, and develop warehouse staff to meet labor demands and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Utilize system data to examine daily worker productivity and implement improvements.
Maintain frequent communication with colleagues, departments, and customers to ensure seamless operations.
Document outstanding issues at the end of each day and prepare for the following day’s workload.
Business Development & Customer Relations
Develop and maintain customer relationships, ensuring exceptional service and long‑term partnerships.
Identify new business opportunities and drive growth through strategic business development initiatives.
Provide regular reports to management, identifying operational challenges and recommending solutions.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced warehouse or terminal management role.
Demonstrated track record of progressive leadership and promotions in previous roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, WMS, and RF technology is preferred.
Forklift certification is a plus.
