Job Overview As a Backend Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, building, and scaling the systems that support Credit Genie's cutting‑edge AI initiatives. You will design and maintain robust backend services and APIs that integrate AI models into our core products, ensuring reliability, performance, and seamless deployment at scale.
What you’ll do
Lead the design and implementation of highly available, scalable backend services and APIs that serve and integrate our AI models in production.
Architect and optimize services and data pipelines needed to deploy, monitor, and maintain real‑time AI inference and retrieval at scale.
Collaborate with AI and ML engineers to improve model deployment, monitoring, and experimentation workflows (MLOps/AIOps).
Drive technical excellence, setting high standards for code quality, system reliability, and performance.
Mentor and guide other engineers on best practices for building robust backend systems in an AI‑focused environment.
Enjoy working on hard, high‑impact problems in a fast‑moving, collaborative setting.
Requirements
At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong foundations in multiple programming languages (Python, Java, TypeScript, etc.).
Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Proven track record designing and building distributed, production‑grade systems.
Comfortable with system design, API creation, version control, infrastructure as code, and testing.
Curiosity and motivation to expand into AI/ML.
Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for solving challenging problems.
Nice to Have
Prior exposure to Machine Learning and AI concepts, tools, or frameworks (e.g., LLMs, vector databases, model serving).
Experience with data engineering or handling large‑scale datasets.
Knowledge of AWS CDK and Terraform.
Experience with ML development environments such as Jupyter Notebooks.
Open‑source contributions, personal AI/ML projects, or participation in hackathons.
