Job Summary PayPal’s Legal team seeks an experienced, highly engaged, and collaborative privacy lawyer to serve as Senior Counsel, Privacy Legal. The role will drive global privacy advice across product areas and support the commercial legal team with data protection agreements. The ideal candidate will advise product teams on privacy and data protection, translate legal concepts into practical advice, and actively drive solutions within a fast‑moving, cross‑functional environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Lead complex projects of diverse scope, driving legal initiatives that support business growth and innovation.
Participate in complex problem resolution, providing expert legal advice on high‑stakes issues and disputes.
Provide expert legal advice and support, particularly in areas experiencing significant growth such as compliance, data privacy, and litigation support.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, advising on the implementation of new legal technologies and automation tools.
Manage legal risks and safeguard PayPal's legal interests by developing comprehensive risk management frameworks.
Represent PayPal in litigation and other legal proceedings, leading case strategies and ensuring effective representation.
Expected Qualifications
8+ years of relevant experience and a Juris Doctor degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Compensation The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $152,500 to $262,350, which may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation), equity, and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits. For more detailed information, visit https://www.paypalbenefits.com.
