Job Description In this role, as Senior Director, Global Value & Access Pipeline Strategy, you will be responsible for developing early Global Value & Access strategies for the HIV treatment pipeline. You will partner with Global Strategic Marketing to develop commercial assessments and recommendations, and influence cross‑functional leadership and enterprise decisions to optimise value, access and reimbursement. The scope covers the early product lifecycle for HIV treatment assets. You will be the voice and champion of the Value & Access function, feeding core market needs into the development of global strategy and materials to maximize product potential and access.

Key Responsibilities

Lead development of the Global V&A Strategy, payer value story and stakeholder engagement plans for the HIV treatment pipeline to optimise access, reimbursement and uptake in core markets (US, EU4, UK, Canada, China & Japan).

Represent core markets’ V&A perspective with comprehensive input to G.Ecosystem teams, ensuring global payer/HTA perspectives and evidence requirements are reflected.

Collaborate with program strategy leaders (PSLs), clinical development leaders (GDLs) and commercialization team leaders (CTLs) to provide guidance and input to G.Ecosystem deliverables (e.g. commercial assessments, clinical development plans, integrated evidence plans).

Work with Global HEOR and Global Pricing & Analytics to bring relevant V&A insights and expertise to G.Ecosystem teams and governance decisions.

Collaborate with cross‑functional partners/leaders in Global Strategic Marketing (GSM), Global Decision Science & Insights (GDSI), Global Medical Affairs (GMA), Government Affairs & Policy, Public Affairs and Regulatory Affairs to drive integrated pipeline commercialization strategies.

Lead payer, pricing & access and competitive research to understand value perception, landscape, evolving trends, value drivers and innovative pricing and access strategies.

Basic Qualifications

14+ Years with BS/BA

12+ Years with MS/MA or MBA

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry in market access‑related activities.

Preferred: Advanced degree in life sciences, health policy or medical degree.

Experience in global or regional (above‑country) market access, launch planning and execution; US managed care/market access experience is an advantage.

HIV disease area experience and market knowledge preferred but not essential.

Strong understanding of payer environment, including HTA, pricing and reimbursement, contracting, negotiation and policy development.

Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across functions and levels in a matrix environment.

Ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders to achieve the objective.

Strong communicator; curious with learning agility; operationally excellent.

Salary range: $261,375.00 - $338,250.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications and geographic location.
